"Tea Cakes"

6 Eggs

4 c Sugar

4 ts Vanilla extract

1 1/2 c Buttermilk

1 ts Baking soda

8 c Self rising flour

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Add baking soda to buttermilk and flour. Add other ingredients. Form into large soft ball and roll 1/8" thick. Cut with floured cutter. Bake until light brown. -----
