3 Pounds ground beef 1 Cup chopped onion 2 cloves garlic -- minced 1 1/2 Cups ketchup 1 Cup chopped green pepper 1/2 Cup water 4 Tablespoons brown sugar 4 Tablespoons prepared mustard 4 tablespoons vinegar 4 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce 3 teaspoons chili pepper Hamburger buns In a large skillet brown ground beef, onion and garlic. Cook until meat is brown and onion is tender. Drain off fat. In any size Crock-Pot, combine ketchup, green pepper, water, brown sugar, mustard, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce and chili powder. Stir in meat mixture. Cover and cook on low 6-8 hours or high 3-4 hours. Spoon onto hamburger buns. YIELD: 8-10 servings VARIATION: Substitute ground turkey, chicken or pork for ground beef.
